Whats your view like?

Excuse the instagram filtering but this is the view from my bedroom. That's Yr Aran in the centre and Y Lliwedd (two peaks on a ridge) behind.

The sun rises from there, which creates some pretty nice views.

Housey, that's amazing, I'd love to live somewhere like that. We're sort of sub-urban here though and the wife wouldn't want to be somewhere fully rural and too remote from the shops and her mum!

Thanks. We share the location with a few other houses, but the development was built in one of the very finest locations available in Staffordshire, hence why we bought it. It's nice to have to drive 1/2 a mile off a country lane to get to us and even nicer that if you don't know how to find us, you never will, which is useful when crims attach a tracker to your RS4...but that's a whole other story :D

Currently a nice enough view to the church spires here in DE. Previously I had a pretty awesome view over Tai Hang district on Hong Kong island.....miss that view!

Just the **** houses the other side of the road on this **** street. Some extra excitement was added to the view recently when the street gained a second abandoned trolley!

Still on ADSL Max and get a consistent 6.3 which is fair enough. Fibre to cabinet due shortly but I can stream in real time on all services in HD today and fibre will happily support 4k services I suspect. All in all not too bad but I won't be getting fibre to house!

Not very interesting. I can see my office which is quite depressing :p Looks better at night when it is all lit up.

The view from my desk at work is far more enjoyable:

When you said 1/2 mile drive I feared the worst. 6.3 is better than I had before fibre.

Since we are doing offices.. My current is

Dubai one is nicer but AD is pretty flat and chilled out.

My previous house had a very similar view, and the back of the house was a view of the backs of the houses from the neighbouring street, separated by modestly sized gardens.

Honestly, I actually preferred looking out over the tightly packed gardens and peoples' houses than I do over my current lengthy garden and countryside. In fact, I probably preferred living in the city (well, probably suburbs really) than out in the sticks as I do now. Especially in the winter, with the long nights and no street lights and few pavements; it's pretty claustrophobic, frankly.

There are some disadvantages to country living when it snows and you don't have a 4WD car. Luckily in this instance I did, but as you will see 2 of my neighbours didn't and their cars remained parked on our driveway for 3 days :)
