And because your hardware tests stable, it must be Vista's fault for any possible failures?Try looking at drivers or dodgy software before blaming the OS
Right on cue.
Funnily enough it was a ms patch that fixed the problem, after all on a fresh install it's unlikey to be a software problem. But hey assume away.

90% of all errors are games not shutting down correctly often ( Bioshock, L4D and other games I have on steam are most prone to this) . Or user errors such as starting multiple instances of a game making them crash.
Then there's the occasional explorer.exe crash due to malfunctioning ffdshow crashing on showing video previews in some folders.
And finally, wmp occasionally locks up for ages doing something with the media library but I cba to wait to I terminate the process usually.
