I doubt it, 1.2 degrees is a lot, nobody would be stupid enough to set it to that, and you would notice the car doesn't want to stay straight and the edges of the tyres bald.
thats the thing im sure the computer was in degrees and i think 1.24 is excessive. i think the machine had supertracker written on it. im gonna have to get it double checked elsewhere to be on the safe side.
took it to kwik fit who have the hunter machine and as i suspected it was out of alignment. the previous place that aligned it was britannia tyres.
kwikfit job:
i saw on the machine before he started the front left was actually out more it was -0degree 31'
now the steering sits dead center when driving straight but still they didnt set it to bang on 0 they set it to -10 each side?
rear is solid axle so cant do anything on that, probably need to get new rear beam bushes at some point, the rear tyres having done 37,000 miles and been on the car since 2003 dont have odd wear pattern so i guess rear is not that bad.
FWD cars usually run a small amount of toe out on the front as when under load they pull themselves straight. RWD run a small amount of toe in at the front (less than FWD toe out) as when in motion drag pulls them to parallel.
If you think about FWD cars when the wheels are driving the torque is pushing the wheels forward which provides the parallel you want.
