My car had a set of deep dish style alloys on it when i bought it. I wasn't a fan so bought some Dezent Motion 2 alloys from a guy on another forum.

Took them to a local garage to get some tyres fitted to them and then asked them to fit the wheels and sort out the alignment.

Just had a call saying that the wheel nuts that are currently in use won't fit the new alloys so they're just going to have to leave the old wheels on.

Does anyone know what kind of wheel nuts i need to look for? I tried Halfords for something quick but can only find locking wheel nuts on their website.

You'll need to know what type of seat the new nuts need.

My standard wheel nuts are shouldered, the alloys on the car now need 60 degree chamfered, some need ball-style.

Once you know this, you can acquire a set of nuts.

Almost all alloys use a 60deg taper nut. Perhaps the new wheels holes aren't big enough and require slim internal drive nuts.

If you mean "Tuner" wheel nuts, that was what I was going to suggest - they fit in narrower holes. Any reasonably decent garage ought to have them - even ATS do. Otherwise, most companies selling car mods will have them.

These sort of things.

I've got a set of "Tuner" wheel nuts on mine. They stop your wheel brace scratching the wheels too.
