Can anyone recommend any wheel nuts, as close to as standard as possible including locking ones for an s2000? Halfords ones rust in less than 12 months and Honda car parts want £146 without locking ones or delivery :D

I also need some for my mx5 (NC).
Stock ones are rusting now and make my shiny wheels look bad.

I don't really care about the locking nut, but some decent quality aftermarket recommendations would be handy.

Tegiwa is the cheapest I've found for official with correct product code at £36 for 20. Any recommendations on locking that won't rust so quickly?

Just get the standard Honda wheel nuts from Tegiwa, no need for locking nuts, stealing wheels is so 90's.

I know on the Integra, they have domed nuts, not angled. Dangerous to use the wrong type.

Anyone used the Kyo-Ei (Project kics) Leggdura 2 piece shell type wheel nuts? Steel nut with aluminium outer cover. Lightweight and cost less than a full set of McGard nuts.

Forget locking, thieves will take the alloy regardless. Standard just buy the Honda ones, too important to skimp.

Makes sense, lets leave our cars unlocked too, as at the end of the day if they want to steal you car the will anyway...

I've not run locking wheel nuts on my cars for years since i needed to remove one from a mini once, after a trip to halfords for the locking wheel nut socket 20 seconds later the wheel was off the mini... totally pointless things.

Could you not just have yours plated?
They are a waste of time - basically, you just tap on a tapered round socket with sharp flutes inside that grip the edge of the locking head and it comes off. There are others which sprag the inside instead and become tighter on a cam as you apply force to undo.

Who really steals wheels these days though?

I've never bothered with one, if someone really wants your OEM wheels they'll get them.

Thanks for posting this - From some of links I have purchased 20 new wheel nuts to replace the crap Ford one's with metal covers on with solid chrome ones with captive washers.:D

Thanks :)

Make sure they're the same taper type. Or you'll open a world of pain.

It isn't a part that I'd change without making sure it's perfect.

They give exact dimensions on seller site - even to taper being 60 deg - I will of course double check when I get them and also had to give reg number to seller who will also check them.
