I have a 6950 MSI GFX card. Ran my games just nice - till it died/stopped working. No screen - I swap out for a new one 8800gtx, hd4770 and both work, fans SPIN,just no screen on any monitor over dvi or hdmi but not used d-port as no cable - power is in fine (two x6).

What is usually best thing to do? can these be sent to manufacture? I use anti static wriststrap but cant prove. I do not have orig packing or receipt (bought off mate) ages ago. Ideally same card ior newer gen 7850, 7790 (blodding OCUK sold these for a one'er)

I know this is common on RAM but most people returning these have them new but some company's offer 1-3yr or lifetimne warrenty. Sadly no paperwork I don't think unless my mate has em

Anyone exp with returns? I may just buy a new card I planned on that but after x/mas and dole this to my sis

I dont belive you will get far with out some sort of proof of purchase. However Perhaps a nice email to the company could go a long way. Good luck

From MSI's site

MSI normally gives 2 years warranty to it's direct customer & distributors. But each distributors & reseller will have a different warranty policy. So it is advisable you check with your reseller about their warranty policy.

and

Warranty receipt: The valid invoice of your purchase as well as the warranty certificate attached to the Product (must be affixed by the store stamp) shall be provided for our warranty service. In case you cannot provide the aforementioned evidence, we will apply original shipping date of the Product as the beginning date of warranty period. The original shipping date will be judged based on the notebook's serial number (S/N).
