Unless K8L requires (and I mean requires, for technical reasons) a different platform, I don't see any reason why it can't be a "desktop" CPU simply by AMD saying so, or at most a "desktop" version made from it by, for example, changing the memory controller if it required registered memory.BoomAM said:From what i understand, the new K8L AMD architecture should cope with Conroe based stuff very well.
