Anyone else think the cpu is worth bothering with over a Q6600?

not really, the lower multipliers of the 45nm quads at a similar price bracket negate any big advantage they have over 65nm in terms of overclocking.

unless of course you don't have a q6600 that alread sits @ 3.6ghz+ comfortably.

and i imagine running these on water wouldnt be any different than running on air stability wise if its stuck at an 8x multi?

We've had confirmation of the first batch coming through in a few weeks so I'll be popping them onto pre-order today
