When are the mainstream LED monitors comming out?

Really. What kind of price? By mainstream I mean under £500 for a 24 incher. Above that is enthusiast really.

imo its proberly gonna take a few years the trend atm is cheap/cheerful credit crunch Screens, if that means TN and it does for now it means its gonna take a long time for the market to adjust and too move over too blacklit if it ever does fully move over !

I think the trend for now is gonna be 120hertz TN panels from 22inch+ and then hopefully higher quality panels :)

I was going to say the samsung syncmaster XL24, but then i looked up the price, costs more than some 30" monitors : /

The XL20 can be had for under £500, don't bother looking at the XL30 though. All three are fan cooled because of the heat from the LEDs i think.

Oh Bummer. You can get 46 inch LED LCD TVs for £1500. Seems crazy that they cant make a decent monitor for under £500 with 120hz too.
