We seem to be in a drought at the moment. There doesnt seem to be many online games coming out.

I've noticed an interesting one called Dark and Darker, though i've yet to play it.

Is anyone else keeping their eyes open for new online games coming out?

I think its the time people cant afford to sink their lives into rather than money… or I’m just talking for myself! Not enough hours in the day for mmos sadly

Your getting old guys, your glory days of free time are gone for another 20-30 years due to jobs and families.

Soon, we the great pensioner army shall return in full force with our oversized keyboards, arthritic friendly mice, 75" TV as our eyes are so bad and it will be glorious, better than the first time around.

I also think that younger generations haven't been drawn to MMO's anything like the numbers those of us now in 40s and 50s etc were, younger gens have had fornight etc to play as online multiplayer games. The landscape has changed, there's still plenty of people wanting good MMO's even some younger people but not in the same numbers.

You'll simply never see an MMO phenom again anything like peak WOW.

The idiot generation can't handle MMORPGs as they require an attention span in excess of 30s in order to play and you don't get everything handed to you instantly with massive onscreen hints telling you where to go and what to do. I reckon that's one of the main reasons why nobody has developed a decent one in in the last decade or so. And even when a company does shovel millions of pounds into attempting to develop one, it's complete and utter dumbed down rubbish - I'm looking at you Amazon and 'New World'.

Personally I'd like a 1 for 1 remake of 'The Secret World'. Just update the graphics, eradicate a few of the irritating little bugs and I'd be happy.

Secret world was great. The big mistake they made like all MMO`s is they spend countless hrs on a noob friendly zone and when it comes to actual end game content their is 2 dungeons to farm for 18 months each on week lock.

I was sucker for all funcom MMO`s tbh and i actually never played WOW, but Anarchy Online, Age of Conan (this was also bloody awesome) and Secret world i was all over them. I put it on a CV once when i was much younger and i got the job as the manager at the time knew the rest of his team played WOW and he thought it was all the same :)

I like reading about EVE and the shenanigans that goes on with it and even tried it a couple of times but i felt detached from whatever i was meant to be doing.

planetside 3 hopefully , however 2 is still going strong, but it is bloody old now! Never thought it would last this long so proves the appetite is there.

I logged in to Eve first time in ten years and was sad to see it's now pay to win. Part of the charm I guess was the amount of time it took to train skills etc, now with enough money you can just buy them all.
