defiantly the Jag on the right

I've just been looking on Zap map to see if any new charging points have come up near me (from like a year ago)
nothing new

so browsing around and noticed some "zap-Home" chargers, anyone actually used this ?

had a bit of a brain wave last night

for some reason i looked up the i3 (as i knew they had a range extender version)

had a good think and thought "i could make it work"

then i looked to see what EVs i can get in my budget, leaf 30KW with the 6.6 rapid charger is possible or an i3

Then i was thinking how I can make this work without charging at home, and you know what, i think I can...

Free Charging at work every day via "Pod Point" network

Question, do these public chargers have a "cut off" , i.e. park in a supermarket for an hour over the parking limit, would it stop changing at any point ?

if not, then thats great !

also if the pods are down, im sure i could park it round the back and use a 3pin plug if needed !

It won’t stop charging, they might ticket you for over staying in the car park though.

IMO it isn’t worth the hassle on such a short range car. Work chargers can be taken away and people can get competitive over a “free” resource.

As an experiment I didn’t charge my EV at home for a couple of weeks and it’s a complete pain and gets frustrating very quickly. Nothing beats the convenience of it always being ready at home...
