When are you going fully electric?

Yeah initial pull down, relies on condenser performance and good airflow to pull down the temps. Cos when the battery wants to be lower than ambient and you have such small temperature gradient (unlike ICE where coolant is 95C)

Its also why i laugh when i hear 'EVs dont need grills'

Its also why large radiators and fans are good, can run them slower for enough airflow and thats a significant noise benefit for both driving the car, preconditioning and charging phases.

Again? What is wrong with your grammar?:cry:

It’s just the lower aperture or complex vanes etc etc that’s a choice, cost versus engineering etc. Easy route is a large opening at the face of the radiator.

Which tariff is this (peak/off peak rates)? Surely your peak rate must be huge to get such a low off peak rate if you've renewed recently?

Anyway, I really liked the electric Mini and would probably have one over an M140i regardless of the running cost benefit. It's just so nice around town. Though it's quite a downgrade in performance!

Yeah its a big step down in terms of performance but having driven the M140i for over a year now, its getting a little boring tbh. I think if i was to get another performance car it would probably be an M2 next time.

That is crazy cheap. When my fixed rate with Octopus ended in February they were able to offer me a fix at a ridiculously high rate or a "loyalty" tariff at a very slightly less ridiculously high rate

Only option at the time was to just go on the variable rate.

When did you get those rates?

Wow was that a 2 year fixed deal? When i fixed mine in Oct 2021 I got one year 5p night and 14.99p day. It would appear you got even cheaper than me in March 2023? Prices had gone through the roof by then?

When I look now its

Unit rate (04:30 - 00:30):
38.57p/ kWh
Unit rate (00:30 - 04:30):
7.50p/ kWh
Standing Charge:

48.65p/ day

Prices include VAT.

Going to be a massive jump come this October :( 175% on day rate and 50% on night rate and almost 100% on standing charge.

Currently paying around £60 per month so I reckon I will jump to around £150 per month. :(

That’s a 1 year fix from 2020.

Octopus made a big mistake with loads of ‘Go’ customers. They forgot to send them their renewals and as such they rolled their current tariff for another year as a resolution that no one would argue with.

Great if you a were effected but take no notice as no one else could have got that price. The poster should have bought a lottery ticket when they found out.

That Octo Go rate Jay85 posted ended before December 2021. The new rates from Dec 21 to April 22 were 7.5/30
Must have been a 2yr fix in March 2021
Nope, its only a 1 year rate. Octopus delayed my GO by nearly a year and when they finally sent me the email to say i can switch it was March 2022 but they didn't change the rates so i quickly jumped on it. I even rang up to confirm the price and they said yeah its valid!

Yeah totally, it was a bug with the go faster tariffs as mine starts at 8:30 and that one doesn’t exist anymore. Didn’t get email 45 days before so they honour it extending. 5.5p for 5 hours so easy to use for domestic use aswell. Comedy cheap driving a sports car with the space of an SUV and pace of a rocket ship

Haha Taycan it is then - the pram fits beautifully :D
