When are you going fully electric?

Not sure if Autocar have interpreted the details right, but they are saying the new JLR RR Velar will achieve 4-4.5mpKWh when it launches in 2025, somehow I highly doubt it will be anywhere near that, maybe 3.0-3.5 at best.

EDIT - To be clear, based on a normal test cycle, not doing 15mph around a city centre.

Autocar are just reporting Range rovers press release. Agree sounds like pie in the sky or they've cherry picked anticipated numbers in a very specific use case. Cars still 2 years off production so no way that's come from an early build. no big suv that does over 4 currently.

You might be surprised at the total savings if you do your forecasting over the expected time in hand you own the EV.
Fuel, Tax & servicing will be 1000s. 4 yrs in and I wasn't expecting to be still on factory tyres(6mm @ last mot) and break pads come now. Also helps swerve some manufacturers who like to bloat out service items in order to generate some stealth revenue.
 
yes sounds like Autocar are smoking something your jlr efficiency at 60mph on the motorway is going to be bounded by the physics of aerodynamics cd&frontal you achieve,
within the constraints on pedestrian safety and crash protection , maybe they'll have a reactive bonnet like polestar(I thought?), or fish-scaled/golf-ball type slippery outer bodywork ?
