When does Skylake release?

I have a 2500k and have been waiting to upgrade to skylake, a lot of people moved on from the 2500k but I thought it was still a very capable processor!

I'm upgrading regardless of the performance results, as I'm hoping I should see a decent enough improvement.

move on from 2500k?...perhaps for a better superpi score...

I'm also planning on upgrading from a 2500k to Skylake, partly for a performance improvement but also because I've got the upgrade itch.

ditto on the 2500k to skylake - want to max out the cpu perf to keep the min fps high, needed for Rift VR in 2016!

Like many of you I have a 2500k to and have been wanting to upgrade for a while now. I hope a skylake 6700k will be a worthwhile update, I can't help but feel my 2500k is holding my 7990 back.
