When does your week start?

So you admit that you are wrong then - the week does (or may) start on Monday? :)

That's just one standard of many that exist, it isnt the definitive or correct one.

their weeks, which is a massive part of our history, states that the week ends on the Friday or the Saturday.

Quote:
According to the Hebrew calendars, traditional Christian calendars, Sunday is literally the "first day" of the week. According to the International Organization for Standardization ISO 8601 Sunday is the seventh and last day of the week.

Can you read?

My works week starts on a Saturday. Pay is from sat to fri.
My actual shift week starts monday 1 week, tuesday the next week, web etc etc. 4 on 4 off. Different day of the week every week!
The calender on my phone starts on a Monday, this is set by me (the default is Sat!)

So it really depends!

If you mean from a working perspective, then my week starts on Monday evening and ends Friday morning. I work night shifts, 48 hours over 4 days.

A lot of Christians (and many atheists, because of the cultural impact) see Sunday as the first day of the week.

Why does my diary start the week with a Monday then?

Becuase that's one standard.
There's lots of standards, depending on several factors.
There isn't a correct answer.

My Callander starts on a Sunday, so using your logic, it must be Sunday and always Sunday.

It would appear that the 'working week' depends on many things, such as shift patterns and working directives - therefore it is not possible to agree on what day the week starts on. :)

Apart from the fact it's Monday, and always will be. For ever. And ever ever. So there ;):p:p:p

your all wrong. the galactic standard week is 1 hour, so my week started 17 mins before this post, and finishes in 43 mins :p

however, since its very difficullt to fit my uni work into a galactic standrd week i go by the OcUK standard week, which starts and ends on wednesday, at around 9am

seriously though, the week starts monday. why else would they call it a weekEND. also, many years ago (possibly around 80 years ago, but i could be very wrong) sunday was the only day off we had in the week, meaning sunday was the weekEND and monday was that start of the week

For me it starts on a Monday.

I think this is what the OP is asking, since if we're talking about semantics then there are a few days to start the week.
