When does your week start?

The week starts on a Sunday, but I only work Tues, Wed + Thurs.

No, it doesn't.

It does for me as I'm of jewish decent.

The Jewish first day of the week is Sunday. According to Genesis, Sunday is the eighth day after the creation.
Paul describes Jesus’ Resurrection as the first fruits of the new creation in 1 Corinthians 15:20-23. In this scenario Saturday is the last day and Sunday is the first day.

No other reason than that though as my jewish decent doesn't prevent me being an ardent secular humanist :-)

Actually it does as I explained in my earlier post. According to Western Judeo-Christian tradition (and by default to Gregorian Calendar) the beginning (and symbolically the end) of the week is a Sunday.

It is the ISO3061 (the one that states that Americans are right in the way they write down the date 2011-12-19) that refers to Monday being the first day of the week...and only since 1988.

So whether you think Sunday or Monday is the first day of the week depends entirely on your personal preference and neither is wrong.

The working week here in the UAE is Sunday to Thursday. Therefore, my week starts on Sunday ;)

Friday and Saturday are the weekend, but I still can't get round this fact!

Weeks neither begin nor end, they merely fade into one another allowing us to experience the universe's vibrations.

That or the week begins on Monday.

Monday is the start of the week for me, personally, though I don't really care if other people choose different days for the beginning of theirs, their choice.
