Lampposts, power poles, etc, over here are regulated and designed to crumple and fold when hit by a car so that minimal damage is done, I know as we have to test them.

not every street lined with trees tho, and even then - they are much wider than these power poles - spreading the impact about a bit at least, anything that is thin to penetrate a car ^^ that much ^^ would break before it got there.

it wouldn't hurt to add a bit armco round the bottom of them.. or just put them underground where they should've been put in the first place !

They cut the Trees down and use them then. They dont have them grown in a line up the street and knock the braches off
