Ok, so this is not tested, but is theoretical. I imagine it is what most people have suspected for some time too.

So only 3 have decent coverage with 3G, its a bit pathetic really considering how long the tech's been around

3 and T mobile share 3G networks, so I must admit to being a bit confused as to Ofcom's reasoning with those providers. Are they only considering their native coverage?

You can prove anything with stats. Id rather have better speed when Im in a town/city than poor speeds in a lot of places.

Not sure where they came up with that data but its compleate rubbish. I'm a delivery driver on the Isle of Wight so cover pretty much every square inch of whats availible and 3's 3G coverage is no better than 40% and thats being generous. Hell, 2G connection is ropey in a lot of parts so I have no idea how they can claim an almost blanket covering of 3G !
