Not sure on the price cuts of the GTS's, but im sure i heard 1st July for the 2600's.

I saw a comment by Cyber-Mav saying 8800 cuts in next few days... so just thought someone might know. Never know it might force x1950 prices down 
I really wonder how the 2600xt is going to do though. Limited by the 128bit memory bus (256bit ring bus however), but it's 0.65 tech, with 800 mhz and 2000 gddr4. Will be interesting to see the results. (and the 2600xt dual)

You can decide how reliable the results are, but this no doubt NDA-breaking review points to the 2600xt being considerably slower than even the 8600gt. It better be dirt cheap!

I think they are both crippled by the 128bit memory interface as mentioned on many websites.
I've bought the x1950xt anyway, so it ain't that much of a biggy, just sell the xt and get something else if I can A) afford it B) daft enough
I think what we have to remember is that even the x1950xt were £200 odd to start with, so expecting an almost top end old generation card to be beaten by a budget next gen card is a bit optimistic I think. It would have been nice, and perhaps the right thing to do, but hey, it's their product not ours.
