Do you ever proof read it before clicking submit and find that some words aren't what they are supposed to be? I mean sometimes I could swear I have typed everthing correctly but or reading it back words like Looks will be typed as Loads, and various other typos that I fail to remember at the moment.
Is it me or is the website playing silly beggers with me?
 
Pretty sure it's just you.

All my mistakes are definitely made before submitting :(.

Unless you're running a weird plugin that only autocorrects on submitting then try proof reading twice :D.

As a rule of thumb: people are rubbish at proofreading themselves. Slow down and engage spellchecker. But also trust in other posters' ability to parse whatever you end up with submitting. It's not the end of the world, unless you wish to become a Grammar Nazi yourself. :)
 
I usually give a quick read over my posts because otherwise people will poke hoels in everything that your posting, even thought its none of there business.
 
Their are some on here that could realy do wtih proof reading there pots.

Glaucus takes the cake though. I often wonder if he doesn't just fling a can of alphaghetti spaghetti at his screen and hope the letters land in some form of order that makes sense :eek:

I like to think that he's permanently drunk, and has really fat fingers and a tiny, tiny phone from which he posts :)

Sign of getting older :| I generally quickly proof read and notice the odd word not being what it should be more often now than 10 years ago :|
 
I blame autocorrect. I proof read quickly but pass over words that are actually words a lot of the time. If the computer/phone didn't autocorrect at the very least more words would just have a minor spelling mistake, rather than be completely different to the word that it was meant to be.
 
I have a weird thing where I completely miss a word out or double a word up in what I am typing. It also takes me absolutely ages to spot it when it happens.

I also thought this would be about the Forum bug where it does not add the text your are quoting to a reply for some reason. :(
