when Scams go wrong...

Just regarding hotlinking, it's really best not to. Some people can plant some nasty surprises and when moderating, we act on what we see, not what you intended (hence the bit about suspensions).

To be honest with 217358 visiters so far I thought I'd be safe but to make sure I've just removed them all. :)



Although I'm sure you'd give me the benefit of the doubt... seeing as I'm your mistress and all ;) :D

I mean the scammer guy. Take the chap to court for posting pics and releasing personal information and family pics is a lot worse than selling someone a dodgy laptop.

Problems don't happen very often, but a few times people have posted supposedly innocent images and as a result we've been on the receiving end of some images that I expect everyone would rather not see, and the problem is that because the correct image is in your browser cache, you may not even know it's happened. Of course, some sites you just know wouldn't do such a thing, but for the rest, it's better to use those free upload services. :)

In this case, no harm done, so that's an end to it.
 
I heard it on radio too this morning on my way to work. I think the seller is still sticking to his story of not doing anything wrong (laptop was working)...
 
Hehe... was posted on my forums on the 24th of May... The guy has been conned out of £350, the person that conned him deserves all he gets.

Only just been reading through the blog. I went to school with thelaptopguy and played in a couple of bands with him. Just been talking to him on MSN about it and he has made double the cost of the laptop back already through traffic revenue :) good lad, i'm proud to know him!
