When should I upgrade my PC for BF3

I will need to upgrade soemthing as I struggle BFBC2 on high and 1050

Well not struggle but average 25-45fps sometimes lower, sometimes higher..but overall I want at least 60fps

You need to get a quad like i stated, BF:BC2 is a CPU whore and quads are a necessity for BF:BC2.

Wes i'm pretty sure BF3 is GPU heavy opposite to BC2 CPU driven game!

I agree with you, but he needs to change that Dual for a Quad, it's his main problem in BF:BC2, the 5770 will need upgrading though, i would recommend going Crossfire, possibly two 6800's and that's not just for BF:3.

I'm waiting for a few weeks after BF3 release b4 upgrading!

why anyone would upgrade before beta i have no idea :p yet you see loads doing it now with the beta just round the corner

also to the guy upgrading if you can and on budget save the card till the end cause if the res is under 1680 you play at your current card may be fine

If you got the cash, sort yourself an i5 system and hold onto the gpu for now. It will improve all your current games and you can't go wrong with a nice sandybridge setup.
Once the game is released, see how your gpu handles it and if you are happy with the level of detail you can run at, then look at grabbing a new gpu if you need one.

This is pretty much what I did, going from a Athlon x2 5000+ and the difference is huge. I was also running an 5770 at 1680x1050 but have now bought a 2nd one and have them crossfired and am very happy with the result.
