Would you side with The Crown or Parliment?

Technically The Crown is the final authority (or at least it was last time I checked), The Queen has to sign any laws past or declarations of war, so should she declare oneday the governent was an abomination and an affront to her senses and should be dispanded who would you side with?

After a bit of a discussion it was decided amongst my housemates that supporting the Queen would not be endoring divine right, but would lead to the over throw of Blair (Traitors gate is still there right?) and the formation of a brand new one. Its also assumed the armed forces are split 50/50.

The battlelines are drawn, who would you fight for

surely if the revolution comes, the people of course. It's been over 200 years since the soverign refuse to assent a law or refuse the will of the Parliament. There will be a revolution if the Queen decide to go against the will of the Parliament (or the will of the public to be more precise) these days.

Depends completely on the circumstances...

If the Queen is the figurehead in a revolution against a tyrannical parliament then id fight for the queen...If the Queen were trying to take over the country for reasons of her own tyranny then id fight for parliament...

Or rather, id fight for the country' best interests in either case.

Dunno.

I guess I could spend the morning fighthing for the Queen and the afternoon fighthing for the country so that whatever the outcome, I have evidence of me supporting both parties and, therefore, would escape a prison sentence.

Either that or sit down undecided, and fight for no one.

Again; Dunno.

Phil. :p

Parliament doesnt always equal country dude.

I see both parliament and the monarchy as being seperate entities from each other and from the country.
