When Will SSD's Become The Norm?

With prices coming way down now, I'm just wondering how much longer before SSD's will replace HD's? Keeping in mind that there will be a place for HD's for some time to come, but with SSD's taking over by ~80%.

So, how much longer?

When the price gap per GB between them and mechanical drives achieves or comes close to parity.

Additionally, the way it tends to go is, people don't necessarily require the performance that an SSD offers when it comes to large quantities of storage, in say, HD movies.

Loading a 15-20GB movie will be quicker from an SSD, but the speed difference would be so small that realistically you wouldn't really notice it.
