Following the trend from social networks, how long do you think it'll take before the 'like' button will be integrated into forums so we can like posts/threads?

Reckon it will be a good or bad idea?

IMHO, Would be brilliant to see most liked posts/threads each day, thread stars don't do enough!

Well to be fair - it really isn't. It allows me to keep in contact with friends and family who do not stay near me or live in other countries - like the UK.

Twitter on the other hand is a bit pointless, I guess.

+1

Facebook has even helped me to find relatives that my family never even knew they existed!

I didn't mean specifically on OCUK forums, I mean just generally all forums for it to be the 'norm' to have like buttons.

A lot of forums do have this facility already. It's nothing new. A lot of them also have a negative tagging as well, which is better than just having a positive.

I don't see why this forum would need a like button. It's a feature of Facebook that I dislike. If you like/agree with a thread or a post, you can say so in a post, and write why you like/agree with it.
