Why isn't this in every shooter by now? Its pretty much the same as rechargeable health. Are there any games out there right now that has rechargeable ammo?
I don't even like Rechargeable health! Will feel like I'm playing a game with cheats enabled with ammo the same.
If you have rechargeable health and rechargeable ammo, then you could be pretty much invincible if you stayed in cover.
What difference does walking over an ammo crate make though? Does searching for ammo or buying ammo make the game more realistic?

Then make destructible cover also standard in video games.![]()
It makes a huge difference, part of the fun of Dead Space was how conservative you had to be on the ammo. I'm not fond of games where the ammo is too plentifull.
Not a huge fan of recharging health either. I prefer to have systems where you use a med pac or injection. Otherwise it's too easy to hide behind a wall and not get killed.
I think games like Dead Space are an exception to this as its a survival horror game.
I am talking about games like COD, halo, gears ect. Would those games really suffer if you had unlimited ammo?
Close second to regenerative health.Worst idea ever.

Not an fps, but Tomb Raider has always had infinite ammo for your basic pistols. Serious Sam had it for the pistols too. Don't think I've played any with infinite ammo for all guns though.
