What is the destination folder? I have checked 'Temp' but it is empty?

Do you mean 'Save As'?

No.

When you select 'open', surely it downloads somewhere or it wouldn't take up space on the HDD.

if you just click open instead of save. It will store it in temp internet files and then delete it as soon as its run. So it doesn't really take up room since its deleted.
