When you go to the barbers

Can't think of anything worse, being in front of a mirror in front of other people, having to make small talk, having the leave the house, and on top of all that they charge you!

£7 hair clippers from Amazon about 15 years old still going strong.

you don't like leaving the house but your location is a wetherspoons?

Hate going to the barbers now.

Usually they only want to talk about football, which I have no interest in. I'll chat if they start asking me questions but on the whole I like to get in and out as quick as possible.

When I moved house, I used a place near me and the guy seemed really sketchy. Range rover pulled up outside and he went to chat for 2 mins leaving me in the chair. Turns out he also commuted 90 mins each way from London, and we live in quite a a small town nobody would have heard of so god knows why he wanted to open a barbers here. Reeked of money laundering to me...

I did change my hairstyle last year to a more messy style, on a different barbers recommendation when I said I fancied a change, but it only seems good for a couple of weeks and then needs a cut again...

It's been 2 months since my last cut so I've grown it out a bit and gone back to my boring old side swept hair.

Learnt to cut my own hair during covid after watching how on YouTube. 2-3 on the side with trim on top got myself wireless barbers trimmer . Hated going to the barbers soo much more convenient now and saves money :) considering they all seem to have increased price

Still rocking the ethernet trimmers here

For years I've cut my own hair grade 1 all over with cheapo hair clippers.

I bought myself a pair of hair clippers during covid as I had an interview and looked a mess.

I now carry on doing it myself.
I use a 20mm on top and a 7-9mm on side.

Only trouble I really have is getting the back straight at the bottom with the 0mm.

Its really difficult!

Think the clippers only cost 40.
Saves 12 pounds a go. (probably more now)

Got some clippers for £20 towards the end of 2020 after finally getting bored of the long hair post lockdown #1. Wished I had done that sooner given the wasted time I sat in the babers waiting for young lads to have unnecessarily complicated hair cuts. Now do a 3 back and sides then a 6 over with top with a razor to tidy the edges.
