When's the next Battlefield game?

I Got BF1942 with Desert Combat mod also installed and i got BF2 and Special Forces installed, so anyone fancy a game, let me know, lol

There's about few hundred servers out there, its pretty good in my opinion. They got a map on there for the Falklands which is a good play they had some real good ideas for the maps they have, as far as i'm aware they're currently in development of the next version. Can't wait to see how that turns out

yeah i played it for a few hours yesterday it is quite good , i think this is really what BF2 should have been like from the start

Yep patch for bf2 sometime this year I think. It'll have a new map I think and rumoured widescreen support

Some people are suggesting they reenable support for 128 players like some hacked demo server had

bf3 is at the earliest june 09 I reckon and probably closer to dec 09 jun 10

No idea whats up with heroes, any beta people to give an estimate? Maybe they decided it'd not make money

Woah! Good to see people are thinking the same as me. As much as people seem to hate EA their BF series has been outstanding. Nothing else, imo, out there like it. I would just like some official information/announcement about the next BF.

The game just has so much going for it and it's surprising that it would be that long to the next one. I have some great memories of BF2 - I still chat and laugh with mates about some of the things we did in it.

Its not even been announced as being in the works, they'll announce it a good year or more before it comes out to build the hype.

Yeah they'll want plenty of time to milk the PR machine. Frankly I mostly play mods for BF2 now, I just want them to fix some bugs with BF2 and if they give us 128 man support I will actually be greatful to them.

Yeh i think that is basically EA's next installment. Lets just hope they improve snipers from BF2's suckability... :rolleyes:

yep bf1942 and Vietnam were by far the best , none of this crappy stat based stuff so no camping or stat padding etc etc ;p ... hoping the rumours about its return to wwII are correct

42 was better than Vietnam in my opinion. Would love to see a new WW2 version, with more content and accuracy.

I loved the Forgotten Hope mod for 1942.
