Where Are All The New 14th Gen Motherboards?

I personally went with the Gigabyte Z790 AORUS ELITE X AX, seemed like a good middle ground board and the new bios layout is much improved.
I was about to pull the trigger on this but then i found out about the ASRock Z790 Nova WiFi, much better feature set for bit cheaper if you know where to look

It has a 20+1+1 VRAM, 6 M.2 slots, one of them being a Gen5 Slot, so it has a bit more future proof when i want to upgrade the storage down the line.

Looks nice, i was not aware of this model at the time of buying but i am happy with the elite x anyway and i will probably only keep it a few years before moving onto the next gen.

It does look a good motherboard.

Please let us know how you get on with it.

I definitly think that some Intel motherboards are cheaky in their price to featureset (especially some of the ITX motherboards which were priced so very high compared to previous generations and didn't offer that much more).

The Nova has some good specs at a reasonable price.

Will do, won't be for a couple of weeks as i'm still slowly buying parts for the build. But i'll update here.

Strange that not many places seem to sell that motherboard,

Still can't get head around £300 > £400 only gets you a mid range motherboard these days :(

Found an very good overview of the Nova motherboard, just a shame it's not widely available.

No regrets going with the Gigabyte Aorus Master albeit a bit on the expensive side, I was looking for certain quite specific features like the PCI-e latch, and USB-C provisioning amongst other things which limited my choices a bit and the reviews in far too many cases seem to suggest that the cheaper/mid-range Z790 boards can in some ways be a bit of a false economy. Though the BIOS is a bit meh, lots of options but the layout and approach to settings could be vastly improved.
