Where are all the reliable coders?

Where the hell do you find a reliable coder? OK it might be far-fetched to ask for a cheap and reliable code toad[size=-1]™ but surely this breed exists somewhere? After all, it's a niche market, n'est pas?!

Is it not permitted nowadays to ask for someone to who needs to develop a portfolio? In the old days one had to build a portfolio of ,more often than not, free or very cheap sites in order to build a folio.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not after something for nothing but it would be nice to associate with those in a similar position. You know, pool resources and build towards a mutual goal etc....

Anyone interested?

Dried, might be a good idea to contact Uni's and sucklike and enquire after students just leaving or just left. I know i'm in that position and am doing two substantial projects on the cheap in order to build a portfolio. Here's hoping that although they're cheap they don't turn out nasty. :) (I'd just like to say that i'm not soliciting for work, i have enough on my plate with the two projects, MSc dissertation and breathing.)

Seriously though, good idea. There is a Uni not 5 minutes from me!
 
Just make sure you contact the Electrical Engineering dept. and not the faggy Computer Science dept. They always have the better students! ;)

Generally cheap means not reliable and reliable means not cheap. You'll occasionally find someone selling themselves short, sure, but it's a general rule.

As the old adage goes: good, fast, cheap: pick two.
