where are people going for New Years Eve?

I'm thinking of going to Dublin for 4 nights over NYE period.

Been before and loved it, the "craic" was amazing!

What is everybody else planning?

Tbh last year we didn't stay til midnight, went to bed about 10. Got up and went to a nearby viewpoint and watched the sun rise, much nicer way to see in the new year imo!

NY is boring for the most part.

Went to Paris last year. Probably do a last minute trip to Madrid this year.

Nowhere, got bored of 'celebrating' the New Year ages ago when you realise it's same **** different day, really don't understand all this celebrating as what actually changes and if you do want to make a change why not straight away rather than wait for 1st January.

New Year probably the worst time of year to go abroad, way too many people around and prices hiked up, no thanks.

In my head I build up NYE celebrations to be greater than they are, bed at the usual time for me and enjoy New Year’s Day with the family.

Nowhere. Everywhere is too packed, too expensive and too cold. A nice evening in with the family, few drinks, bit of grub and Jools Holland’s Hogmanay

We've moved house recently and are wanting to host a few friends for dinner and drinks.

My favourite NYE was Berlin with a big group of guys. Wicked city to see 2018 into.

I'll be out of the country though so hopefully on that and other nights I'll be in snow

Going out to Phuket on Boxing Day for two weeks, so will be out there for NYE

Down the local for the afternoon with the wife and visiting family. Evening all at home with food and drinks. NYD down the local for the afternoon and eat there.

Tenerife for this NYE..

Was in Tenerife for NYE 4 years and it was good, lovely weather too,
