Where are the 660SE's?

Then please prove it like I have said before, and prove it with multiple references, just because one card failed does not mean every 7850 on the planet cant hit a decent overclock.

Is it me or am I the only who can't spot anything in there saying "these cards were limited". Rather the owners just didn't overclock it anymore like a lot of people.

And my references? Why the whole 7850 overclocking thread in this forum :D

So you are saying that there isn't a 7850 in this forum (as you chose to ignore the reviews and my multiple references while not providing any) that overclocked for less than 30%?

Can you confirm this?

Not really as we still don't know what voltages the people testing them were using, it was quite a limited brand selection by the look of it, and we still don't know if this was the max overclock you could achieve...

So how do I know the 7850 overclocks like hell?

Because of the 7850 overclocking thread on this forum (as stated before) and the benchmarks done by Toms Hardware after the release of the 12.11 beta.

Including the one that died ;-)

Do you agree then that 1200MHz is not a guaranteed oc?

No overclock is ever guaranteed on any GPU regurless of colour.

What your trying to say is the 7850 on avrage can't be as fast as the GTX 660, your wrong, the GTX 660 is clocked much closer to its overclock sealing than the 7850, unless that is you just get a 7850 thats clocked up much more to normal clock speeds.

For those who think they will be so unlucky that they would end up with a 7850 that will not overclock. Why not just get one of the ones that has a huge factory overclock, like this one for same money as any other low priced 7850, and there in save yourself the difference from the GTX 660.

Job done! :)

The GTX 660, while a great card, nothing wrong with it, is over priced, it also only has a 192Bit Memory bus, which frankly belongs on a budget card, not a £180 mainstream GPU.

This card reportedly competes with the Radeon HD 7850, it promises performance between the GeForce GTX 650 Ti and GeForce GTX 660.

I think the "SE" is a little misleading considering its between a 650Ti and standard 660. The first time I read "SE" it made me think of Special Edition or Superclocked Edition.
But maybe that's just me.

Where are the multiple references there?

That aside, did or didn't you say that
I've never seen a 7850 go below 30% clock speed.

what is your sample size? I've shown you already a few that did not overclock that much.

What, you want exact numbers? quite a few.

You have shown me a few that aren't clocked that much, that does not mean they wont or that the user wanted to.

+ 30% is 1118Mhz. Thats a very average overclock.

I am saying that at stock freq the 660 is on average 15% faster than a stock 7850. Do you agree with this?

Where are the numbers?

And again how do you know what the user wanted to do? I would think that people post their stable/everyday use overclocks. Why would somebody post a 2% overclock? Doesn't make sense.

You could say that, its also clocked more than 20% higher

That Gigabyte 7850 with its factory overclock is just as fast, do you agree with that?
