Where are the resignations in the FA?

McLaren sacked with a £2.5m payoff.

But why was he ever in the job? The FA chose a manager eminently unqualified for the job; rejecting several more experience and pedigreed men along the way. And, surprise, surprise, he failed.

They've lost us a chance to play in the European cup, and wasted £2.5m into the boot. Which one of them is going to step up, admit fault and quit?

IIRC correctly he didn't. He said he wouldn't make a decision until after the world cup (entirely reasonably, it would have undermined his position going into the cup leading a different country) and the FA threw their toys out the pram.
