Where can I buy a painted shell or a body shell?

Phate - sorry to pile on here, but this is a retarded idea. In fact, this idea is right up there with some of the most retarded ideas ever thought up - like attacking Pearl Harbour, or Star Trek: Nemesis.

Actually, that might be a bit unfair on the Japanese. It isn't being unfair to ST:N however.

I don't need a sauce - it is common knowledge that since Saabs became rebadged Vectras, they have been using the GM-standard bellhousing pattern.

Hell, they use Vaux/Opel boxes.

...Which means that you can link a Saab Turbo lump up to the 5-speed Getrag box in a Senator, Carlton, Manta...

Now that's tempting...

specially if I had the ECU upgrade on it as well. 220bhp Astra badged as a 1.6 SXI. Sleeper? :D

Or, just use an older vauxhall that won't cost you the earth to get running. Then spend a decent wad on a daily driver and use the modded old school Vaux as a toy. ;)

That would be the way round i'd do it.

But since when do I do things logically? :D

What ever happened with the Cupra in the end dude? I didn't follow the thread.

Its still awaiting re-build mate, then once that is done, both cars are being sold for something "interesting".

Re-build should start in 2 weeks after I finally get paid from the new job for the first time!

I think I understand where he is coming from - especially after he said about driving his sisters Ibiza.

He likes the 'niceness' of the Astra. The fact it feels new and uptogether and isn't 10 years old. That kinda thing.
