Where can I get a camera mount bolt?

You know the 1/4 inch bolts you find on tripod mounts etc to screw into the bottom of cameras, well I need one as I have found in the bottom of a pile of camera stuff I have a lovely bar thingy which screws into the bottom of the camera and gives me a hot shoe off to the side of the camera which would be very useful. However at some point I have removed the bolt from it...

I've tried looking on ebay but only really found actual bolts, where as I'd like one specifically for cameras ie with a nice big plastic top to it to make screwing into a camera nice and simple...

Can anyone point me in the right direction or give me some wording to search for as I'm not managing to find what I want???

Thanks

Edit, this is basically what I have but without the circled bolt...

perfect, thanks for that, I was trying everyt combination of bolt and not finding anything, brain didn't engage and try "screw"!

Now if I could just find somewhere that sells them individually...

What about going to B & Q, purchasing a 1/4" whitworth bolt and some washers that are quite large. Cut bolt to length. Get some araldite and make a sandwich of say three or four washers. Then slid bolt through and apply copious amout of araldite to bond the bolt to the washers. Allow to dry thoroughly. Should work at a pinch I think. Cheap and cheerful but would get the job done.

Alternatively if you know someone with a Lathe they could knock one up quite quickly, add a bit of knurling to the edge and use a tap and die set to create the thread once the bar is turned to the correct thickness.

Whilst it would work, it might be a bit ob the heath robinson side of things...

This is a brilliant idea and one I should have thought of, my Dad is a lathe turner and could probably knock this up in next to no time!!! he's already made me some beautiful spikes for my speakers, this should be simple for him!!!

See you already knew the answer, you just didn't know it :)

Actually if your Dad is a dab hand at Metalwork and / or Lathe turning, he could make all sorts of Photographic gizmos for you - clamps, extention arms, brackets etc.

I know you can buy them individually, we had thousands at the studio as they'd go missing after rental. i'll find out.
