Where can I get Flash?

As title, really.
I don't mean the flash plugin for Firefox/IE, however. I want the program which you can use to open .swf files on your local machine, if you see what I mean. I can't find a flash player which isn't a plugin for a browser :/

You can't open an swf for editing, you can use the program macromedia flash for creating flash movies but the file that allows you to edit the content is called an fla file, bit like the difference between a jpg file and psd file.

im sure you can open SWF files and maintain the layers etc, unless it has been protected from being imported (which normally it would have) .... this may be an old feature as Ive not use Flash for a while

No, you don't understand. I don't want to edit anything, I just want to open .swf files on my hard drive without having to use IE/Firefox to do so.

Just a flash player.

Media Player Classic will open them, as does Zoom Player.

as does normal Windows Media Player - right-click>open with>WMP

Unfortunately it won't open flash games which I've saved to disc.

This will play games, well it plays the click games where you use the mouse, not sure if it works with keyboard.

Flash MX had what I wanted, I remember. Alongside Flash MX was the little flash player. Isn't there a way to only get the flash player (because I am not interested in FlashMX, I don't edit nor create .swf files) ?
