Hey there,
Saw there was aurora on Ocuk a few weeks back but now its dissapeared.
I cant find the stuff on any web site including mayhems uk one, Is there an alternative I can buy ?

Ideally you'd want a true coloid that has the visual properties, as it will then never settle, like Milk (don't use mik...)

Thanks for the tip lol, there must be something on the market available in the UK, maybe its just a brand I haven't heard of.
If I knew what to search for it would be easier. "sparkly water cooling fluid" doesn't help

I think you're gonna be out of luck, dude. Mayhems have binned off Aurora and I don't think Mick is continuing his dev into a 24/7 new version. There was a UFO coolant but it turned out to be utter trash and teh guy who made it did a runner after it all failed catastrophically. That just leaves Primochill Vue which I don't think I've ever seen a successful review of, and I think has also been discontinued because they just couldn't get it to work.

Appreciate the info there, I feared as much, it's just died out of existence

Now, here's something for you: what exactly do you want Aurora for? Because Mick is currently trialling a new product that can only be described as witchcraft. It's called XTR and is quite a viscous liquid, so beastly pumps for beastly loops only, but its thermal properties are pure magic. Some of the test rigs and results I've seen in the Mayhems facebook group are seeing absurd temp drops just by using the fluid, sometimes as much as 10 degrees in a Threadripper rig.

The reason I mention it is because it totally blocks light (Mick ran it under his 100W cutting laser and nothing happened to the surface), but has the side effect of glowing like a mofo. Its natural state is a milky pearlescent quality, but when you smack it with LEDs and it starts flowing, it does look like a luminescent Aurora.

I'm interested, I work for a company that have asked me to make a show piece and the aurora fluid is something that I thought of straight away as wanted for it

Grr, that's annoying then.

The Facebook group has gone private so you'd have to request to join (if you're a Faceache user of course), but maybe it's worth posting there (Mick should see it) if there's any old stock you can have?

just watched the video for the XTR stuff looked great the price on mayhems site though bit steep £34 for a litre of 6nm or £99 for a litre of 1nm clear wow. did he not have a development thread on here?

XTR was a very private development because of what it can do. It's not a sparkly Aurora or Pastel replacement, it's actually witchcraft with it's insane thermal capacity.
