Where do I place the temperature sensors?

Surely thats not going to give me any useful information. Wouldn't I want to put one on the cpu/gpu/mobo/hdd?

What more valueable info do you need? No software program will give you the reading of intake/exhuast temps whereas there are software programs that will give you a better idea of temps of HD/CPU/GPU etc. You cant put a probe on the actual die so its reading is pretty much pointless. at least with my suggestion you can get an idea of how good your airflow is, the higher the delta between intake/exhuast the better which is a lot more usefull than having inaccurate reading of your hard drive imo.

Bikerz - I wouldn't trust cellotape in my pc, I've always used electrical insulation tape.

Energize - It depends which fans you wish to control the speed of. If its the cpu fan then taping to the fins of the cooler is good, maybe a mobo chipset heatsink for a rear exhaust fan and hd for front fan.

Shin-etsu make proper thermal tape. I'm very surprised that the sensors don't come with anything - have you had a good look in the box?
