Recently my pc had started crashing randomly, blue screening etc etc.

I bought this ram :- GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC2-6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit for my new build roughly october 2006.

Anyway i read on the forums it may be something to do with the ram, i removed one stick of 1gb ram and the problem remained, i removed the other stick and put the old one back in and the system has been running sweet and not 1 crash. For the last 2 weeks!! It must be the 1gb stick of ram that was causing the system to blue screen.

Where do i stand with returning this faulty stick? do i send back both 1gb sticks as i have the early version ram that has 666mhz i belive and you have to unlock the 800mhz or something. I would be happier with 2 brand new sticks of ram/same spec etc etc.

I have never returned anything before to ocuk so im new to this.

Thank you

Dean

You will need to send it back too GeIL as OC's are no longer legally obliged to repair/replace the item as it's been over a year/6months.
GeIL have a Lifetime warranty so you should have no problem with them replacing it, just make sure you package it well and send it recorded delivery once you have your RMA from GeIL.
