Where do you buy your Cameras/Lenses from?

KD - The Jessops in Swindon had a really odd mix of cameras and lenses. It had a 5DmkIII and 70-200 F2.8 II or 1100D with kit lens but nothing inbetween and it had the Non-VC version of the Tamron I was after on the website at the same price as the VC. As much as I'd love to be able to buy from local shops I think the interweb is going to get my money

*******, Digitalrev and Amazon in that order of preference, because usually the former is the cheapest. High street shops around here don't even have the most basic lenses like the Nifty Fifty!

Energize - My basket at ******* was £550 cheaper than the same bits from Amazon or nearly £750 cheaper than Jessops, although that does include the 5% off for using BACS rather than paypal! I just wish the UK high street could compete, even if it was only say 15-20% more expensive I'd probably still prefer to do that but sadly it's just nowhere near

I've been thinking of registering as a sole trader and then registering for VAT, as that would be the cheapest option of all as well as giving me the security of buying from Amazon in the UK, but I'm unsure as to what amount of trade HMRC would consider to be a legitimate business.
