Where do you get your images?

I was just about to blow £50 on some credits for iStock...

Are there any other stock image sites you guys can recommend?

iStock used to be cheap. Now it's getting more expensive.

One I use for hobby work is called Dreamstime

Indeed, iStock have been ramping up the prices in myriad subtle ways ever since Getty Images snapped them up

Try StockFresh - it's from the people who made sxc.hu and StockXpert before they were bought out. It's come in handy for me on occasion.

I usually use bespoke images on a clients site. Personally I think it looks much better to the web viewers eyes than using generic ones. Depends on the subject matter required though.

I usually take the photos myself and have never relied on stock photography
