I have a couple of pieces of hardware that I'm not implimenting until I have other pieces to go with them, so what I was wondering is where everyone else keeps hardware that they may not be using or space pieces, etc. What's the best conditions?

P.S. Wasn't sure whether to post this in the General Harware section or this, but thought it's not too serious so posted here :)

You need lots of water, the more the better, and a growbag.
Take the contents of the growbag and empty it all over your "store". Then add the water.

On a more serious note, any indoors room will do, away from sunlight, extreme heat and dust.

I have a specially constructed chamber which maintains precise atmospheric condtions at all times (1 bar pressure, 17.45 Deg C, zero humidity.)

Or you could just put it in a cupboard

Whats a good way of getting rid of old hardware like half dodge hard drives and 28.8 modems? I dont want to just through them in a landfill.

Disassemble the HDDs... strong magnets are great to play with (dont get your fingers caught under them when they want to attach themselves to something) and the platters will make a nice mirror for a loved one.

Get em on the bay if you want make a bob or two. Alternatively have a look at some computer recycling companies on the web. They maybe more than happy to take them off your hands
