where does Outlook save files? URGNT HELP

Hi,

Backing up a dying drive and want to save all my emails i'e received where are they stored on the drive?

WinXP SP2
Outlook 2000

Export them to a .PST file?

what about the attachments etc?

They will stay attached to the emails.

so just export -> to a pst -> inbox -> then chose a folder?

i am wiping the entire drive and intend to import this .pst on a fresh installed WinXP and Office will everything (attachments) still be there?

Yep, Inbox (tick include sub-folders if you have any) but if you wanna do everything, select the mailbox itself - choose location to save to, nameit.pst - Ok.

To open it, go File - Open - .Pst file, Everything will be there, yes.
