Does anyone know where I can see a PopcornHour A110 working, somewhere near Middlesbrough, to see what the various delays / responce times are like.

I have been told that it is slow with music files.

I found mine was pretty slow trying to load anything, especially over the network. It was in the region of 10 seconds at times to start streaming files to it.

Thats all in the past now, because mine died after I fitted a HDD and never came back to life :(

Thanks for that TheKnat, what did you replace it with & how well does it work.

I tried a lot of other solutions, but I'm now using a Windows 7 media PC which is sat in the corner and streaming films to my Xbox 360. The new version of the xbox media centre works quite well and the movie library part of windows 7 is very good.

The response time is about 1sec per click, it sounds a long time but most things can be got to in just a few clicks. For example my downloads folder has about 300 files in but I can page down until i find the file I want, then type the number next to the file to jump to it. The video only takes 2-3 seconds before it starts, unless its a DVD image where it takes perhaps 10 seconds to start (from HDD).

As for music I wouldn't advise getting a popcorn hour if its primary use is music, the interface is really crap and I don't think it even supports ID3 tags. However for videos it is awesome, it will play x264 1080p movies silky smoothly.
