Following on from the landscapes thread, if you were given a return ticket to visit any country in the world, where would you go? (It can be somewhere you've been before) and why?

Mine would have to be Peru to see the amazing scenery for myself- Machu Pichu, the salt plains etc... :)

Tibet and because of the Mountains and Monks and Temples and being up in the Heavens and all that old guff. Totally

Far to many places to pick one to be honest. Not sure I could narrow it down to one as I havnt had the chance to travel yet and want to see as much as I can. :(

Mine was China, until I went there, repeatedly.

Now it is Peru like the OP, or Africa. Also Korea.

Thinking about it, I want to go everywhere. Except Iraq.

I really want to go to Greenland. I might go next year, the only problem being that flights are uber expensive and decent hotels are few and far between.

Supposed to be an awesome experience though. In fact I might book early :o

EDIT: £2500 for 6 nights!

good question, peru was nice but not amazing. the cook islands were stunning but i think canada wins for me

EDIT: greenland looks stunning too, but not much to do i fear

Probably back to the Rockies.. but New Zealand.. or that Ulani del Sulanay [sp dont care] from the landscape thread with the salt flats.. definitely want to see that.

Norway, NZ, Iceland or for some strange reason the Falklands. The Falklands is suppose to be horride, a bloke I work with had to live there for 6 months with the RAF. I think the whole place interests me.

Canada instantly sprung to mind.
But tbh I'd love to go anywhere, only ever been to Germany and that was 15 years ago. Maybe one day I'll be able to afford to travel.

I want to go to Iraq :p Not right now for obvious reasons but one day I'd like to. Hoping they haven't bombed the crap out of everything so there's still some ancient historical ruins about the place.
Although at this rate they're probably all gone :(
