Where is Princess Latifa Al Maktoum, the daughter of Dubai's autocratic ruler?

Seems odd why she has access to a phones,
headset and the internet?

She's locked in some villa or something, I'm assuming they didn't intend for her to have a phone or internet access but I presume, being in a villa and perhaps having staff etc.. come and go she might well have been able to have had one smuggled in.

I really hope people wise up but then again, having a holiday trumps human rights violalation. But why would the people care when the so called goverment does nothing and stay silent.

Indeed. The flights alone from the UK aren’t cheap, before you factor in any kind of reasonable quality of stay and then the extortionate price of food and drink.

Clearly he goes to a different Dubai than the rest of us.

When I go somewhere the last thing I want is a £200 a week all inclusive resort where you would be better off eating the bed bugs than the food.

Dubai is just the middle East's answer to las Vegas but without as much alcohol and skin on show.

Both are completely man made using funny money. The mob started Vegas and well the ruling elite of Dubai is pretty much like the mob tbh just more backwards.

The bellagio has the water fountains and then so does the shopping centre in Dubai. Vegas has the extravagant hotels and so does Dubai. Both have the weather too. Both are simply tourist attractions made in the desert. The only thing missing in Dubai is the casinos and sporting events. But they managed to get UFC's fight island as well as the world cross fit championships so they are improving on that front very fast.

Where is Princess Latifa?
Have you checked down the back of your corner sofa? Between the cushions?
Maybe ask Queen Latifa...?

People really ought to consider this imprisonment without trial when they think of visiting Dubai for a holiday; the UAE and its Rulers are a 21st Century disgrace
People should really be less concerned with one rather well-off kid basically under house arrest in a very nice house, and more concerned with the millions of far less fortunate people who are barely surviving in modern slavery... But I don't see any of your posts about that.

This is in a country where gay people are thrown off buildings and foreigners are used as slave labour so this story is not really surprising, I really question the morals of people holidaying in that country.

Is that before or after you question the morals of people who buy goods from china?

It's only the 21st century in the Christian calendar, in the Islamic calendar this year up until August 31st it is 1442 AH . maybe that's why they act like it's medieval times

Is that how it works.

How many times removed from something unpleasant do you have to be to have clean hands and clean conscience.

Everything is connected and some point you have to make a rational decision based on risks and benefits.

Which is why the UK has trade with SA worth billions every year.

You mean as this country used to be run at the time of Henry VIII (1491 to 1547).

However, we are now in the 21st Century and even in the Middle East they have been exposed to 21st Century communications and should have some awareness of Modern Times. Most of these counties' Great Dictators were educated in the UK and/or USA and trade with the West - all of them seem to have massive investments in the UK.

Do you mean the UK govt agrees to sell them things that make friends of MPs billions every year? :p

From the secrecy and outright shutting down of any investigation, it would be hard to believe that our agreements to export weaponry to SA are anything but some of the dirtiest/most corrupt you could possibly imagine :p

There was at least one attempted investigation, because people in SA were allegedly asking for and receiving large brown envelopes, and of course the UK govt shut down the investigation because it would hurt the Saudi royal's feelings. And they'd look elsewhere for their brown envelopes.

imo, by shutting down the investigation, the UK govt proved itself to be every bit as corrupt as the Saudi regime.
