The members market is a curse!

I've had to rent storage space to store all the 1080ti's I've bought for 50p each :(

The MM is often rubbish anyway. You'll see names pop up in there that you've never seen anywhere else on the forum offering you 25p for a £300 SSD because someone else once sold one for that price so this is now the going rate. It can provide a good bargain now and then but don't kid yourself that it's a Mecca of cheap bling, it's far from it.

I think it's the theoretical safety aspect that is most alluring about the MM. It should be pretty easy to tell who the genuine people are to deal with, whereas buying off the 'bay is a glory hole situation. Designed to be good for you but you really don't know what you're dealing with on the other end.

GD is full of eBay doom and gloom threads.

(oh and the MM isn't this mythical wonderplace btw, it's just a market with more trust and more people trying to get your £800 GPU for a fiver because they saw someone else sell it at that price once before so this dictates the price from now on)

You are forgetting ' slow post is fine ' - which means they'll offer £40 less because you could possibly save a quid on postage
