Where to connect case front panel cables.

Hi,
I have Corsair 750D case and Maximus Hero VII MB.

I am not sure about few things that should be connected.

1. Which side of the cable is Power SW + and Power SW- H.D.D Led + and H.D.D - and Reset SW + and Reset SW -

I think the text on these cables should be facing down?

2. My motherboard has three ports for USB 2.0. But I am not sure to which I should connect the case cable marked as "USB". I am confused because there is this warning to never connect cable 1394 to USB ports as this will damage MB. I have no clue about the 1394.. I am also a bit confused by text "You can connect the front panel USB cable to the ASUS Q-Connector USB First and then install the Q Connector USB to the USB connector onboard if your chassis supports front panel USB ports.". Why would I need the Q-connector?

The power and reset SW ± polarity does not matter.

The LED ones do, when your LEDs dont work you know they are wrong.

The one marked USB comes of the USB3.0 cable right? only use the USB3.0 part, dont connect the smaller one.

The one marked USB comes off USB 2.0, the large cable next to it (on right) is usb 3.0 I already plugged it

The Q-Connector helps when you have a crappy case that doesn't have moulded USB connectors. It's all very easy really - The chunky large connector is USB3, the reset sw / power led / power sw and hdd led all go bottom right of the motherboard picture above.

The HD audio can only connect one way and goes into the HD audio socket on the motherboard. The USB2 cable goes into any one of the USB2 sockets - it won't matter.

1394 is commonly known as Firewire - I had a few video cameras that connected this way.
