About 75% of them will have autoboxes on the end, don't know whether that's relevant or not to you, and a lot of them will be the low-compression Range Rover units.
Try a decent breakers yard, try Bridges on the M23, all their engines come with a warranty if not try a specialist magazine or forum, it's not a rare engine but I bet there's several varieties that you'll have no idea on till it's too late and bought it.

Maybe speak to these guys, friends of a friend I will frely admitbut last time I was down at their unit (and house) there were V8 parts/engines aplenty...am sure they would be happy to give you some advice as to which variant is best suited for your use.
